Özet (EN)

Because of the scarcity of studies on the Roman army in Anatolia, especially what we know about the empire's military structure in the eastern provinces is limited. As well as for the Early Imperial Period, this deficiency applies also for the post 3rd century Late Imperial Period. Although it was mentioned in many studies in scattered manner, there is no specific study about the inscriptions concerning military in the southern coast of Asia Minor(Lykia, Pamphylia, Pisidia, Kilikia/Isauria). Nevertheless, there are large number of important military inscriptions and literary data related to these regions. Military inscriptions that have been mentioned in many studies in scattered manner, will be brought together and will be supported by military and literary sources. South Anatolia forms geographical area of this study, not only because military inscriptions and many military operations have taken place here, but also because of necessity to evaluate new materials. Objective result in this thesis, is to show military structure in southern coast of Anatolia and it?s importance in the ancient period. The time period between earliest periods to late antiquity periods is under the scope of the thesis and it is limited geographically by Lycia, Pamphylia, Pisidia ve Ciliciain clude.?
