Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to determine the values found in the text of 29 fairy tales in the book named Azerbaijani Nağılları (Hoy) compiled by Furuğ Xızırlı in two volumes and to reveal whether the values determined will be useful to children within the scope of values education. The research is a qualitative study and designed with phenomenology. Since the tales examined in the study were written in South Azerbaijan Turkish, the values in the tales were translated into Istanbul Turkish. The data in the study were analyzed with descriptive analysis approaches. According to the results obtained from the research, 420 value expressions were reached in the tales in the work named "Azerbaijani Nağılları (Hoy)". It was determined that there were 12 main values in the work. These values are the values of benevolence, love, religion, honesty, courage, responsibility, respect, loyalty, diligence, justice, patriotism and patience. It was revealed that the most frequently used value in fairy tales was the value of benevolence, followed by love, religion and honesty, respectively.
