Abstract (EN)

Today, ethnic, lingual and religious groups are the leading actors in international politics. The conflicts between these groups started to threaten the regional, global security and peace more than they used to. In respect of international relations, the relations between states and these groups are taken into consideration within the content of realpolitic and based on mutual gain. The regional states established of ethnic, lingual and religious diversity have economic weaknesses, insufficiency of political culture, and social problems which causes this diversity to turn into a problem. These problems sometimes do not stay within the geographical boundaries but affects other countries as well. Today, South Caucasus is the region where an intense ethnic, lingual and religious conflict occurs. With the dispersion of the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact, conflicts can be seen in South Caucasus. This is based on the multicultural structure, ethnic, lingual and religios policies of the regional countries. The conflicts continue by making the regional countries? power and security weaker and also get the support of foreign influences that are after various gains. Ethnic, lingual and religious groups that are used as an instrument for the benefit of battle are the most damaged parties today. In the region today, we can see there are hundreds and thousands of refugees which have been forced to emigrate and live in tents, tens of people lost their families and were handicapped, and also economic and social issues. The point that has to be taken into consideration carefully to solve these disagreements and problems are to know that they are the product of the battle for the benefit of the actors within and out of the region. The conclusion can be reached in this sense that to provide stability and assure security in South Caucasus can be possible by creating a political balance. This also depends on giving opportunity, and making it possible for ethnic, lingual and religious groups to live in an integrated and harmonious environment.
