Methods of using technological developments in today's music in terms of composition and performance

The aim of this study is to provide information on how composers can use technological devices and software developed within the framework of their fields. Of course, although we try to take into account the technological access that each composer can obtain in line with his own means, it is thought that the study prepared by using the resources obtained by researching from an international perspective can at least contribute to the process of promoting the composers' works. In the first part of the study, how technological developments were reflected in music, how both instruments and recording equipment were developed, and how composers followed these developments throughout the historical process were discussed. It was mentioned to what extent electronic instruments and electronic recording equipment attracted the attention of composers, and it was aimed to draw attention to the contents of electronic systems that entered the world-wide literature. In the second part, details about digital notation programs, which are among the methods used by composers today, the features of these programs and the advantages they offer to composers, are explained. In addition to the programs used, the contents of external electronic equipment, how they can be used, and how composers can obtain these systems with their own means are explained. In this section, VST banks and systems that work with a virtual software program are mainly mentioned and the importance of which is wanted to be emphasized. Thanks to this system, the issue of how composers can hear their works realistically is highlighted and information is given on how to achieve realism. Research has been conducted on which devices support Mixing and Mastering processes and the results obtained have been tried to be explained in detail in this part of the study. Explanations on the electronic computer systems required to combine all these methods are also included in the chapter. Information about the systems including reference, microphone, monitor and recording device is also transferred to this section, and information about how each of these systems works and what digital software they need is presented to the reader. In the last section, research was conducted on the problems that composers face today while recording their works or presenting with the sounds they have prepared in the virtual environment, and the solutions to these problems, and suggestions were offered with the data obtained. Mainly in this section, suggestions that will provide professional comfort to composers and make them emotionally satisfying are included, and small suggestions are offered on how they can work by taking advantage of the developing technology.
