An investigation about storing capacities of entrance, kitchen and bathrooms of today?s middle and up socio-economic status apartment estates

This investigation, it is aimed to determine closet volume quantity that is necessary for daily and long period usages at the entrance, kitchen and bathrooms of the users that live at today?s middle and up socio economic status (SES) and the storage efficiency of the inside place equipments that take place at these places. The questionnaire form that has been prepared related to this aim, has been applied to total 235 users that live at 3+1 and 4+1 houses Eryaman area of Ankara City that represents the middle socio economic status and living at 3+1 and 4+1 houses at Çankaya area that represents the upper socio economic status and data have been collected. SPSS 15.0 pack program has been used at the evaluation of the data. As a result; it has been found that the age variation has been effective at the closet volume that is necessary for the users at their long term usage at their entrance, kitchen and bathrooms; the estate type variation has been effective at the long term and daily usage of them at their entrance. It has been determined that the long term closet volume that they need at their entrance and kitchens has decreased at 45 years and after and parallel to the increase at the age their long terms closet volume need that they need at the bathroom has decreased, the users that live at the 3+1 estate types need more closet volume at their entrance than the users that live at the 4+1 estate type. At the evaluation of the capacity efficiency of inside equipments, it has been determined that at the entrance the number of users and property variables have been effective, at the bathroom education level, number of users, property, SES, estate types-SES variables have been effective. Besides, it has been determined that the USES users have used the closet volumes at the bathrooms more efficient. It is being thought that because the bathrooms of the USES has been planned bigger as architecturally related to the bathrooms of MSES, the store volume evaluations have been different according to the SES.Key Words : Storage, entrance, kitchen, bathroom
