Abstract (EN)
In this study, the public culture of Keda province in Adjara, Georgia was studied. The Adjara region is located in the southwest of Georgia. The region is dependent on Georgia. The population of Adjara is made up of Georgians. The Adjara region is one of Georgia's very rich and valuable areas for research in terms of public culture. The Keda province, which includes the scope of the research, is one of the major districts in the Adjara region. There are ten large villages in this district. The large villages of Keda province have been selected for research and are intended to obtain information. The cultural heritage of Keda province has been relayed from generation to generation for centuries, reaching the present. It is possible to see the traces of this rich cultural heritage intensely in the public beliefs, tradition-traditions, lifestyle and general culture. This work on Keda province is field research. There were interviews with the locals for field research. Most of the work is filled with information provided by the source persons. They have been informed and visualized by going to villages. The main purpose of this research is to keep track of this rich cultural heritage collected for centuries in Keda province. The study consists of four sections. The first part included general information about Georgia, Adjara, Batumi city and Keda province: In the second part, research was conducted under the traditions and traditions, life and transition periods of the people of Keda. In the third part, folk literature products, folk tales, popular legends among the people, applause-carts, prayers and proverbs, jokes, riddles, the last chapter, were examined on the title of name-surname, place names and etymology. In addition to the research, their visuals are elated.
