Abstract (EN)

This thesis, titled "Perception of Death in the Families of Security Workers and Its Effect on Their Domestic Relations", was prepared to understand the reflections of the professional difficulties of security workers on themselves and their families in the province of Malatya. The thesis study organized for this purpose consists of three parts. In the first chapter, the phenomenon of death was examined sociologically. The sociology of death has been made in the context of the changing meaning of death from past to present, the view of death in the modern world, the philosophy of life and death, the class nature of death, and martyrdom. In the second part, security forces and employment opportunities are examined. The focus is on security, its relationship with society, its historical back ground, our country's security threats, law enforcement forces and administrative organization. The third section consists of methodological framework and field research data. This study, focusing on the police and military professions in the security forces, was planned as a qualitative research. In this regard, the method of the thesis study is qualitative research and the technique is in-depth interview. In this section, the design, subject, purpose, importance, limitations, population and sample of the research are explained. Then, the research data were examined in detail.
