After the adoption of the 5188 numbered law concerning Private Security Services, the discussions on the Private Security Services in Turkey started to take place again and they entered a fast process of enlargement as well.In order to fully understand the positive and negative developments or renewals which take place in this process, the name of this dissertation is assigned as ?Private Security Services in Turkey In Accordance With the Application of Security Services?.By means of our study taking place under this title it is aimed to put forward the conceptual and specific properties of Private Security Services in respect of public service and order, its historical development, organization and application. The problems, positive or negative developments faced after the adoption of the 5188 numbered law concerning Private Security Services were also worked out by this study.The main titles mentioned in this study are framed with the concepts of security and security services for public service and order. In this study not only the conceptual framework, historical development, fields of activities of private security services were focused on but also the organization and procedural course of private security services in Turkey within 5188 numbered law were emphasized, Subsequently, to state and put forward the problems and the positive developments occurring in private security sector after the implementation of the 5188 numbered law in Turkey and to find solutions to them, an area research was implemented in order to find out the private security officers? perceptions on the subject stated. Survey method was used in area research and Turkey stood as the general environment, 602 private security officers around Afyonkarahisar stood as the working environment. The data collected by means of the area search was analyzed through SPSS 15.0 Windows package programme.The output appearing as a result of the analyses done were organized as tables, their explanations and comments were done, some results concerning the level of positive and negative developments on private security sector problems were extracted.Key Words1.
