Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to emphasize the mediation role of person-organization (P-O) fit in the relation between security climate and job satisfaction. The study formed as four part and the first part contain literature review about security climate, the second part consists literature review about P-O fit and the third part consist literature review about job satisfaction. Detailed information about definitions, theorems and methods of measurement related to concepts has been included in each part. The fourth part include the analysis of the relationship between the research variables by the structural equation modeling. An institutionalized enterprise which is internationally active in the textile sector, which has a high rate of job accident rate and personnel turnover, has been preferred for the research. A questionnaire form including demographic characteristics and statements about research variables has been prepared for the research. For measuring the safety climate perception, a 5 item scale developed by Williamson et al. (1997) was used. A 3 item scale developed by Cable ve Judge (1996) was used to measure the P-O fit. For measuring the job satisfaction, an 8 item scale developed by Watson et al. (2007) was used. The relations between variables and the effect of demographic factors on variables were examined by some analyzes in the direction of information from 638 participants. According to the findings, security climate has a positive effect on job satisfaction and P-O fit. Similarly, it has seen that P-O fit has a positive effect on job satisfaction. It has also demonstrated that the P-O fit is mediator in the impact of security climate on job satisfaction. Another result obtained from research findings is that the perceptions of security climate, P-O fit and job satisfaction differ by demographic factors.
