Özet (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to find the relationship between organizational safety climate and employee turnover intention. In addition, as a sub-objective, it was aimed to find a statistically significant difference in the perceptions of employees' demographic characteristics, safety climate, and turnover intention. In order to collect data, a questionnaire applied to 513 employees in a public university operating in the education sector in Bursa; 366 questionnaire results were evaluated. The validity and reliability analysis of the questionnaire was conducted, and the reliability coefficient of the safety climate scale was 0.914; and the reliability coefficient of management perspective and rules dimension of the safety climate was 0.919; and the reliability coefficient of colleagues and safety training dimension of the safety climate scale was 0.741; and the reliability coefficient of the turnover intention scale was 0.875. In the light of these data, it was observed that the safety climate has a relationship between both the perspective of management and the rules dimension, and the dimensions of colleagues and safety training, and the respondents' perceptions of turnover intention. Both two dimensions of safety climate are negatively associated with respondents' turnover intentions. In addition, it was observed that there were statistically significant differences in employee perceptions of marital status and educational status characteristics in terms of management perspective and rules dimension. According to respondents‟ perceptions of management perspective and rules, singles were more positive than married, and the high school graduates were more positive than the other graduation groups. In addition, it was determined that the demographic characteristics of the participants did not show statistically significant differences in terms of perceptions of colleagues and safety training dimension and perceptions of turnover intentions.
