Abstract (EN)
This study started with the curiosity of seeking an answer to the question "Why do some employees report security problems while others do not?" In this context, this thesis is designed as a mixed-pattern research. In the qualitative phase, qualitative data were collected in order to explore the security voice in the production sector and to identify the variables that may be related. In the second stage, the effect of the damage and production variables (conditions) that emerged in the qualitative stage on the safety voice behavior was tested with a pilot experimental study conducted on students and blue-collar workers, and the results were explored in more detail through a focus group interview with university students. In the third stage experimental study conducted with university students, the effect of production and loss conditions on proving orientation and their interaction with work life anxiety on safety voice was examined. In the fourth stage, the effect of the interactions between production and loss conditions on proving orientation and job insecurity on safety voice was tested in the sample of blue-collar workers. The findings obtained in this study showed that both blue-collar workers and university students prevented/not hindered production also have an important place in the emergence of safety-voicing behavior when compared with the potential for harm to health. The findings obtained in the experimental studies revealed that the interaction between proving orientation x work life anxiety (university students) and proving orientation x job insecurity (blue-collar workers) has similarities and differences in various aspects in the samples of university students and blue-collar workers in the emergence of security voice in production and loss conditions. The findings were discussed in the light of the relevant literature.
