The opinions of the students and the instructors about the influence of the theoretical lessons that are taught in the departments of the faculties of finearts upon the workshop lessons.

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the theoretical lessons that are taught in the painting departments of the faculties of Fine Arts upon the workshop lessons and the opinions of the students and instructors.In order to determine these characteristics,the programme has been examined according to the use of technology,the hours and the contents of the course.Through the tool that was formed to determine the productivity of the programme,the opinions of the academicians and the students were tried to be determined. Through this,the opinions of the 3rd & 4th grade students and the instructors about the influence of the theoretical lessons upon the workshop lessons have been taken.The students in painting departments of the faculties of Fine Arts and the instructors form the universe of the research.As the entire universe is not reached in the research,the sample is formed by the 3rd&4th grade students who study in the painting departments of the faculties of Fine Arts in Mediterrenean University, Hacettepe University and Dokuz Eylül University.The instructors are also in the formation group.As a sum,ninety-one people form the universe of the research.The survey that was applied to the students has been put forward as `?frequency?? and `?percentage??. An interview form has been created and `?face-to-face interview?? technique has been used.In the interview forms,ten questions have been asked to the instructors and twenty-nine questions have been asked to the students in the surveys.As a result of the research:1)The instructors working in the related universities think that the existing education system and the ideal education system in their minds do not match with each other.2)According to the survey,it has been determined that 80% of the students think that the content of the lessons are enough,91% think that the course hours are enough and 92% think that the variety of the lessons are enough.3)According to the survey,56% of the students think that workshops have to be revised.57% of the students think that the theoretical lessons have to be revised as they find the effectiveness below the intermediate level.4)According to the survey,it has been determined that 79% of the students think that the workshop lessons should be given intensively,on the other hand, 21% of them think that theoretical and workshop lessons should be given in equal intensity.5)According to the survey,56% of the students give importance to all of the technical and workshop lessons, 24% give importance to pattern and 20% give importance to the basic art lesson.At the end of the research,depending upon the problems,suggestions put forward by the researcher are given place to.
