Examination of educators' views on right hand techniques in fine arts high schools viola education

This study alms to reveal the opinions of teachers of viola education working in fine arts high schools in Turkey in 2021-2022 about the efficiency of the right hand technique presented in the viola education curriculum prepared by Ministry of National Education. Moreover, this study by detecting the right hand tecniques in which the students have difficulty, includes the recommendations on solutions by teachers and emphasizes the methods they use to solve these difficulties. We aim to create a new and distinct study in this paper. The semi-structured interviewing from prepared fort his study has been applied to voluntary 10 viola teachers working in fine art teachers in Turkey. First of all,in this study, theoretical infrastructure was created by scanning native and foreign literatüre about the concepts forming the variables of the study.Then the opinions of teachers were taken using interviewing technique on the issue.The answers the participants gave to semi-interview questions were sorted out by content analysis. According to the findings, %60 of viola teachers working in fine art schools have found the right hand techniques sufficient. This study has indicated viola methods of Ayfer Tanrıverdi and Berta Volmer have been mostly preferred and viola teachers, in general, think right hand techniques included in the scope of Ministry of National Education as efficient. Finnaly, this study has concluded that educators in general see the need to study systematically as an obligation in order to sharpen right hand skills that students learn with difficulty.
