Abstract (EN)

The disclosure of the beautiful, which is the main problem of the Modern Age, and the banalization / vulgarization /banalization of the beautiful have led to the crisis of privacy. The main purpose of this study is to examine the manifestations of the crisis of privacy as the loss of beauty in the Modern Age, and to compare the situation of today's societies by taking into account the policies, studies and substitution forms followed by modernity in this situation. Modernism is the name of the transformation from a logocentric structure to an ocularcentric structure. Culture, society and the state, which are shaped within the ocularcentric structure, were essentially tried to be classified through 'what is visible'. In the meantime, the invisibility (disclosure) of the beautiful and the subsequent emergence of a crisis of privacy have led people to live in the shop window. In order to talk about the loss of the beautiful in the Modern Age, it is first necessary to talk about how the cult value of the beautiful has turned into an exhibition value. The modern eye has been shaped on the axis of the seer, the seen and the seen, and has caused privacy to turn into deprivation. The fact that what is healthy is the smoothness of beauty and what is intimate loses its essence has brought the 'Modern Eye' to power and made it dominant. People think that the life they live gains value only to the extent that it is watched. Deprivation With the increase in the exhibition value of the beautiful in the modern period, the sources of representation have also increased and Homo Sapiens has secularized and gained new forms in the modern period. New sources have emerged in every period and shaping the society with the accompanying movements/ideologies has become the ideal of the Modern Eye. At this point, privacy has remained in the background in Modernity and the ideological structure has realized itself by exceeding its limits. The loss of beauty and the crisis of privacy have been scripted in the form of society types as the Modern Age representation design. It will be discussed how to evaluate the types of representational society (consumer society, transparency society, show society, exhibition society, etc.), what they can lead to, and by which ideological structures they become viral and legitimized. In this context, the study will include the crisis of privacy caused by the loss of beauty, the reflections and transformations of the issue in the present day will be discussed, the situation of privacy as the disclosure of beauty in the Modern Age will be discussed, and the crisis of privacy as the loss of beauty will be expressed with the criticism of the Modern Age, taking into account the Middle Ages, when beauty and therefore privacy were the most protected. It will be explained and discussed at what point today's societies are at in terms of their attitude and adaptation to the crisis of privacy as the loss of beauty.
