Abstract (EN)

"Yearbook" (which is referred as "Salnâme" in this study) is a term used for publications which include all events and all kinds of knowledge such as statistics, commerce, art, economy, history, science and biorgraphies of a year or the past years. Salnâme-i Kameri, which is transliterated within this study, belongs to the year 1297 of the Hegira and was written by Ebüzziya Tevfik after his other yearbook Salnâme-i Ebüzziya. The said yearbook includes information on months of the Hegiran and Gregorian calendars. It starts with the first day of Muharram (The first month of the Hegiran calendar) and each page refers to one day; including the shapes of sun in that day. The work also includes contraction of the days according to both Hegiran and Gregorian calendars and the events that took place on the same day of the previous years. Each event is approached sequentially. Moreover, it includes information about the economics, educational structure, transportation and communication networks of the world states of the era. Keywords: Salnâme-i Kamerî, Salnâme-i Ebü'z- Ziya, Yearbook.
