This thesis is called ?According to the point of news value magazineelement: Comparison on turk-kazak television ? and it comprises of threesections. In the first section, historical development process of news isdescribed and the concept of news, which is the core of this study, has beenelaborated. Next, basic criteria for news preparation have been discussed.Building on these basic criteria, the properties of television journalism areexamined. A distinction has been made between television and newspaperjournalism in the first section. In addition to that, presentation of reality intelevision news has been examined.In the second section of the thesis, in order to understand the fact ofmagazine of television news in an integrated manner, the basic relationshipwhich has a crucial effect on this fact has been analyzed. After presenting therelationship between the jargon of television journailism and the discourse oftabloid journalism, gradual domination of tabloid journalism?s language intelevision news has been introduced as a proposition. Moreover, theintroducition of tabloid journalism to the television world through the processof its development has been described.In the final section of the thesis, especially after private televisionstations entrance to broadcasting, public broadcasting in general has beenforced to a retreat and thus commercialization of broadcasting has affectedtelevision news adverly. Private companies in pursuit of their commercialgoals have transformed the underlying aim of the television news from simplyinforming public into informing and entertaining. In order to test this generalproposition, a content analysis of main news bulletins of Turkey kanal ATVand SHOW TV, and of Kazakh kanal 31 KANAL and KTK. Random samplingprocedure has been used as the selection method of the news bulletins for aperiod of ten days.
