Abstract (EN)

Research trombophilia from patient with habituel abortionHabitual abortion is the spontaneous ending of at least two or more consecutivepregnancies before the 20th week of the pregnancy. Habitual abortion is one of thesubjects in obstetrics in which there is not sufficient knowledge about ethiologic andprognostic factors. The reason for % 68 of recurrent abortion is idiopathic. Consideringthe fact that haemostatic failures can cause an obstruction at the placental vascularlacunes, it can be figured out that the unexpected changes in coagulation factors duringthe pregnancy may be the reason of an abortion. For the successful progress ofpregnancy, an effective uteroplacental circulation is mandatory and this circulation canbe effected by haemostatic disorders. Thus, the maternal thrombophillias (Factor VLeiden, Prothrombine G20210A, MTHFR C677T mutations, Protein C, Protein S andAT-III deficiencies ) are obstetrically important pathologies. There are studies in theliterature which support that these parameters are related to repeatitious fetal loss. The study intends to bring up the role of thrombophillia in habitual abortion, which develops up to Factor V Leiden, Protrombine G20210A, MTHFR C677Tmutations, Protein C, Protein S and AT-III deficiency, by investigating with theprevalance of these mutations.66 patients with habitual abortion diagnosis and 74 control group have beeninvolved in the study, who applied to Cukurova University Medical Faculty Obstetricsand Gynecology Department between December 2004 and March 2006. Patient groupwas formed by the patients with repeatitious pregnancy loss which has been defined asidiopathical. The parameters above have been studied in patients of the case group andthe control group, and they have been compared between the two groups. As the conclusion of the study, a significant difference has been found betweenProtein C and Antithrombine-III values of the habitual abortion group and the controlgroup, whereas the difference of Factor V Leiden, Prothrombine G20210A, MTHFRC677T mutations and Protein S values has been defined as unsignificant statistically.Key words: Habitual abortion, Trombophilia.VIII
