Abstract (EN)

Due to high costs and manufacturing challenges associated with hot-rolled steel, cold-formed steel, also known as light steel, has become more practical with technological advancements. Light steel structures offer increased usability, particularly noted for their positive seismic performance. Compared to heavy steel, light steels are more convenient and easily assembled. While bolted and screwed connections are commonly explored in the literature, this study focuses on the behavior of light steel screwed connections under cyclic loads, with a consideration for potential post-fire damage. Using the ABAQUS finite element analysis program, beam-column screw connections were modeled and compared with experimental data, revealing close correspondence. The study concludes that light steel screwed connections may experience a loss of strength after a fire.
