Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the impact of the materials developed for the teaching of some of the gains in the social life module to students with mild mental disabilities on the success of the students and to determine the students' views on the application process and materials. The study was conducted with 8 mild mentally retarded students studying at a rehabilitation center in Rize. The study was conducted in a quasi-experimental design with a qualitative approach. The data collection tools of the research are performance record form used by RAM and semi-structured interview forms. According to the data obtained before and after the application process with the developed materials, it was found that the materials positively affected the academic achievement of the students, the students' opinions about the materials were positive in the interviews with the students and it increased their attention and interest. According to the results of the study, it is thought that the inclusion of materials in the lessons of private teachers will contribute positively to the academic success and motivation of the students.
