Abstract (EN)

Human beings seeking tranquility is a subject that existed throughout history and which is ageless. When people are evaluated in terms of their needs, it is generally accepted that reaching spiritual tranquility is more important than material needs. Although our age, with all the technological and material developments was an age where it was possible to obtain almost all kinds of opportunities for human beings, it has had difficulties in explaining everything with a rational and materialist approach and in providing tranquility, which is the inner peace. What is meant by the term tranquility and from what the mental tranquility is being affected has been reviewed by both using scientific methods and within the scope of mystical beliefs. Different answers to the question what tranquility is and how it is, show that tranquility and the attainment of it are interpretable. It is seen that these interpretations, with their outlines, are convened at two points as materialistic approach and spirituality-oriented approach. In this study, the contributions of the exegetical work Hak Dini Kur'an Dili are presented based on the idea that spiritual phenomena are an important shelter which is both divine and always up to date. To value the recommender independent of the events of the period and independent of his scientific personality will make it hard to understand him. The spiritual and moral degeneration, which Elmalılı considered as deficiency in his own time, made it obligatory to address this issue in his exegesis. As a matter of fact, he associates the spiritual crises to the moral degeneration of the society and to the departure from the revelation. For this reason, he has used his exegetical work including his commentary, which is a combination of rational and narrative sciences, as a tool for building the spiritual tranquility of the society.
