820 ABSTRACT This study called "Nouns in Khakkas Turkish" consists of the following parts; Abstract, Introduction, Three Parts, Conclusion and Lists of the terms and References. Some brief information about the place of the Khakkas Turkish language in the classification of the Turkish dialects, the Khakkas people and the Khakkas language has been provided in the introduction. In the first part named "derivations" it has been found that there are 68 prefixes making noun from nouns and 66 prefixes making nouns from verbs. The history of the prefixes and their various forms in many living Turkic languages and their semantic classification have been provided here in this part. Different views of the native and foreign Turkologs about the prefixes have been presented. The emphasis has been put on the compound nouns in the part called nouns. Nouns formed with the contration nouns, repetitions and abbreviated compound words and word groups and this classifications have been studied here. It has been found that the way nouns are formed in the Khakkas Turkish and in the Turkish of Turkey is the some and that especially repetitions have been frequently used and that compound words are in part used similarly to the way they are used in Russian. In the second part called "declension" the plural markers, the case endings, the possessive suffixes, the interrogative particles and the copula subjects have been studied. The history andthe devolopment of the suffixes which form the declension of the nouns, their functional properties and the noun roots and stems, adverbs, prepositions, repetitions and forms and characteristics of their use have been given. in the third part called the "classification of the nouns", the folliwing points have been given; propernouns, commmonnouns, collective nouns, concrete nouns, absract nouns, simple, derived and compound adjectives, qualificative, determinative adjectives in terms of their meaning and the kinds of adjectives, pronouns and their kinds; personal nouns, reflexive pronouns,821 demonstrative pronouns, interrogative pronouns, indefinite pronouns, negative pronouns, possessive pronouns, adverbs and their kinds; adverbs of time, adverbs of place and movement, adverbs of reason, adverbs of purpose, adverbs of condition, adverbs of quantitiy, adveerbs of question, intensive of the adjective and adverb, conclusion and the lists of references and the grammar terms.
