Profession of students with carpet designatives development of determination of qualifications: DACUM technique

This study is to determine the vocational qualifications for vocational and technical high school carpet designing branch in terms of reaching the requirements of the target age and the level that the sector can respond to. These qualifications are addressed and identified as vocational knowledge, professional skills and attitudes and values. Professional qualifications for vocational and technical high school carpet designing are determined by DACUM method. Design managers, pattern designers, carpet designers, carpet pattern design managers and ARGE employees who have at least 6 years of experience in the carpet business and who are in the field of carpet management and who are skilled in the field and who have the necessary skills and who work in small, medium and large carpet companies in accordance with the rules of the DACUM technique 12 individual criterion samples were selected as appropriate. The main competence of using Texcelle seems to have the most professional skills. Main competences with the most professional skills, respectively, after Texcelle master qualification; PSP, Photoshop and basic art education. A questionnaire has been prepared which includes competences to determine the importance of occupational knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of the carpet couture profession. As a result of the research, along with being a Texcelle program based on the carpet designing profession, the PSP program is also important. Extra photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Corel draw programs have to be learned after Texcelle and psp programs are learned at a level enough to practice.
