Abstract (EN)
In this study, the novels of the Syrian writer, screenwriter and poet Halid Khalifa, who are internationally known for his recent awards and translations, and the war theme in these novels are examined. The main sources used in the research are the Caliph's novels Defâtiru'l-kurbât, Medîhu'l-kerâhiye, Lâ sekâkîne fî matâbihi hâzihi'l-medine, el-Mevtu amelun şâkkun and Lem yusalli alaihim ehad. In the first part of this study, which consists of an introduction and three parts, information about Khalid Khalifa's life, works and thoughts on war is given. In the second part, the aforementioned novels of the Caliph were analyzed. Analysis of the novels; novel summary, characters, time, place, point of view and narrator, language and style. In this section, the similarities and differences between the novels are also included. In the third part, the novels of the Caliph are examined in terms of the theme of war. The subject of war, which the author extensively deals with in his novels; The wars mentioned in the novels, the effects of war, interrogation, arrest, imprisonment, torture and war supporters are discussed. The title of the effects of the war was examined under fifteen sub-titles. As a result, the novels of Khalid Khalifa; Although they were written on different dates, they are similar to each other in terms of the topics covered in the novels, the destruction of the war on the characters and their lives, the author's thoughts on the war and his struggle against the civil war, he presented to the reader through the characters, he benefited greatly from the cosmopolitan structure of Syria while writing his novels, It has been seen in all his novels that.
