The charakters of idealized woman in Halide Edip Adıvar's novels

Halide Edip Adıvar is an important figure in Turkish literature. The characters in his novels develop in line with the ideology of the Republic, depending on an Eastern-Western synthesis. She feeds on both the Western and Eastern cultures in his novels and takes up the issue of women with various characters. The author idealizes women's characters in her novels titled, Ateşten Gömlek, Sevyiye Talip, Handan, Sinekli Bakkal, Vurun Kahpeye, Kalp Ağrısı, Sonsuz Panayır, Zeyno'nun Oğlu, Yeni Turan. The author focuses on issues such as gender equality, women's education and social life. Halide Edip Adıvar uses a romantic perspective in the novels in which she idealizes her female characters. In the novels of the author we have examined the female characters; education, social and cultural structure, religion, belief, tradition, power, power, gender and feminism is seen as idealized in the axis. Adıvar combines the Western education with national values as a synthesis of female characters. The author creates strong characters in this way. The aim of this study is to determine how and in what ways the female characters are idealized in the novels of Halide Edip Adıvar.
