Analysis of Halil Karaduman's taksim performance

This study has been carried out to embody the technical use of Halil Karaduman, who came to the forefront in the twentieth and twenty-first century's Turkish Classical Music qanun performances in taqsim performances. In this context, 18 parts reflecting the technical use of Karaduman in his performances were determined and dictated, and then transferred to the digital environment with the "ENCORE 5" program. The data obtained was analyzed with the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, and Kaçar's "Work and Performance Analysis Methods in Turkish Music". In this direction, enrichment and performance techniques, expression elements, rhythmic uses, rhythmic elements and pitch usage area in Karaduman's taqsim performances are analyzed and explained with specific examples. As a result of the study, it has been concluded that Karaduman exhibits a simple or dynamic performance style according to the course of the taqsim, adopts both traditional and modern playing styles, and assigns certain roles in the expression by processing technical uses in a unique way.
