Determination of user opinions on public education centers i̇nformation network - Eryaman Şehit Hüseyin Kalkan HEM case

This research examines the effectiveness of the HEMBA platform and user experiences through the case of Eryaman Şehit Hüseyin Kalkan Public Education Center. The primary objective of this research is to systematically examine the perspectives of administrators, teachers, and students regarding the effectiveness and utilization of the HEMBA system. The main objective of the study is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of HEMBA within the framework of user experience and to develop recommendations aimed at making the system more effective and functional. In this context, the potential contributions of the HEMBA platform to educational processes will be evaluated. In this research, a qualitative research method known as a case study was employed, and data were collected through an interview form. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis method. The study was conducted through interviews with 29 participants, including 20 trainees receiving education via the HEMBA platform at Eryaman Şehit Hüseyin Kalkan Public Education Center, as well as 4 administrators and 5 teachers working at the institution. The findings of the research indicate that digital literacy plays a critical role in the effective use of the HEMBA platform from the participants' perspective. While the overall ease of use is evaluated positively, factors such as individual digital competence and guidance support are reported to influence the user experience. Additionally, it has been emphasized that the socialization aspect of the platform does not fully meet participants' expectations and requires further development. It has also been observed that the technical infrastructure is occasionally insufficient, negatively impacting the user experience. Finally, participants expressed their appreciation for the free educational opportunities provided by HEMBA, while also voicing their expectations for the further expansion of these offerings. Teachers believe that enhancing the platform's interaction capabilities will improve the effectiveness of teaching methods. Keywords: Education, Pandemic, Public education, Digitalization
