Digital reputation management in public libraries: The case of Ankara Adnan Ötüken Provincial Public Library

In the study, information about reputation, digital reputation, digital marketing and social media platforms was given and the works and transactions that libraries should perform on these platforms were revealed. The digital platforms used by Ankara Adnan Ötüken Provincial Public Library have been examined under a separate section in order to set an example by presenting suggestions on how public libraries can use digital platforms. As a result of the survey conducted for the personnel who carry out digital studies in public libraries affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the qualifications, reputation and knowledge level of the personnel in question about digital platforms and their views on the works carried out by Ankara Adnan Ötüken Provincial Public Library were revealed. As a result of the study, which digital marketing and social media tools are used by Ankara Adnan Ötüken Provincial Public Library, improvement suggestions for these studies are presented. It has been ensured that the works carried out by the library set an example for other public libraries. As a result of the survey, it was revealed that the awareness of the library staff about reputation is low and their training on conducting digital reputation studies is insufficient. It has been determined that the personnel who are aware of the lack of training are open to development and they want to improve themselves with the trainings to be given.
