Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the perception of role and importance of unions for hospital and municipality public relations department (PRD) workers to struggle with mobbing and to analyze it according to different variations. The research has been carried out descriptive quality and scanning model. The data has been obtained through a valid and reliable scale of the role and importance of unions which was developed by researcher. The scale is made of three dimension and 25 items. Items have been ranked by five point likert scale. The universe of the research is public relation workers who work state and university hospital and municipality in Şanlıurfa, Elazığ and Malatya. Based on the perception of participants, hospital and municipality PRD are stressful working environments which cause mobbing. Another conclusion based on these perceptions, unions which are important parts of this issue are negligence to struggle with mobbing for hospital and Municipality PRD workers. It has been concluded that unions in Turkey should give up focusing only on payment and job safety and with collaborative approach together with workers and organization; they should play a more important role in struggling with mobbing and similar problems.
