Abstract (EN)
This thesis forges a link between urban transformation process and public relations in relation of the Çinçin Bağları Gültepe Urban Transformation Project which has been launched in 2006. In the first part of the thesis, the facts such as urbanisation, migration and squatting which causes the realisation of the urban transformation process is evaluated. In the second part, information taken by the semi structured interviews with the autorized people from Altındağ Municipality and its relevant departments, Ankaram Platform representing the NGO?s, Altındağ Police Department and Seğmenler Police Station as the relevant law enforcement agencies and 30 people who used to inhabit or is inhabiting now in the region are analised and also the datum taken from the brochures published by the municipality are examined. In this work, the questions what has done, how has it done and what sort of practises have carried out are answered considering the project within the scope of public relations and participation. Besides some suggestions have been made about what should be done considering the faulty and disorganised aspects of the practices.
