Abstract (EN)
Twist values of single-ply yarns, which are one of the important cost items for spinning mills, were converted into five different double-ply yarn samples in the hamel doubling-twisting system, with a difference of 100 twists between them. The quality values of single-ply yarns, double-ply yarns and after dyeing of these yarns were investigated. Shirting fabric was obtained from dyed double-ply yarns with different twists, and physical and performance tests of these fabrics were also investigated. Uster, CV, thin place, thick place, neps, strength and hairiness values of Ne 70/2 yarn samples produced in Hamel twisting system with five different twist values were determined. As a result of the study, while the twisting process showed improvement on all sample groups in the yarn quality parameters examined, it was seen that the amount of twist had a significant effect on the quality parameters. In this study, in which the twist difference was investigated according to physical and performance tests on shirting fabrics made in the study, it was seen that the amount of twist had a significant effect on all sample fabric groups.
