Abstract (EN)

Hamza-nâme, one of the important sources of Old Anatolian Turkish, was written by Hamzavi in the 14th century. In the work, Hz. Hamza's adventurous life, his heroism and wars are told. Hamza-nâme, which reflects the linguistic characteristics of Old Anatolian Turkish, is a significant work in terms of vocabulary and grammar. In his narration, a simple, clear style which is quite far from Arabic and Persian compositions was used. Hamza-nâme has a total of seventy-two volumes known. In our study, we examined the thirty-fifth volume of Hamza-nâme. There are two copies of the Hamza-nâme, of which we have a Master's Degree. Then, we summarized the text. Later, we prepared the dictionary of the text, which is rich in vocabulary. Finally, we created an index containing the names of people and places in the text. Keywords: Hamza-nâme, Hamzavį 14th century, Old Anatolian Turkish.
