The flora of the area between Hankendi - Baskil and Kömürhan (Elazığ)

In this study it is intended to detect the flora of the area between Hankendi – Baskil – Kömürhan (Elazığ). In this survey, 3128 plant samples which were collected from the research area in 2011-2013 were used. As a result of the systematic evaluation of the samples, from the research area, 338 species belonging to 74 families and 469 species belonging to this genus, 133 subspecies and 80 varieties, 660 taxons in total, have been identified. 2 of these determined 660 taxons are included in the Magnoliophyta. The 5 of 658 taxons belonging to Magnoliophyta belong to Pinophytina and the remaining 653 belong to Magnoliophytina (Angiospermae) sub-section. The 565 of 653 taxons located in Magnoliophytina sub-section are located in Dicotyledonae class and the remaining 88 are located in Monocotyledoneae class. The taxon rates and the numbers of the first 10 families that contain the most taxon in the research area are Asteraceae 91 (%13.8), Fabaceae 76 (%11.5), Lamiaceae 56 (%8.5), Poaceae 49 (%7.4), Brassicaceae 43 (%6.5), Caryophyllaceae 36 (%5.4), Apiaceae 34 (%5.2), Rosaceae 26 (%3.9), Boraginaceae 25 (%3.8), Ranunculaceae 17 (%2.6). The first three genuses that contain the most taxon are Astragalus (% 3.5), Centaurea (%1.7), Salvia (%1.5). The taxon numbers and the rates according to the phytogeographical regions of these taxons identified in the research area are Multi-Zone and unknown 358 (%54.2), Iran – Turan 236 (%35.8), The Euro-Siberian 37 (% 5.6), and Mediterranean 29 (%4.4). The life forms distribution according to Raunkiaer system of taxons in our research area are Hemicryptophyte 277 (%42), Therophyte 210 (%31.8), Chamaephyte 65 (%9.8), Cryptophyte 58 (%8.8), and Phanerophyte 50 (% 7.6). The 60 of 660 taxons identified in our research area are endemic. According to this, the rate of taxons' endemism in our area is %9.1. The rates of endemic species in the first three families that contain the most taxons are Asteraceae %31.5, Fabaceae %20.5, Lamiaceae %13.6 .
