THE RESEARCH OF THE EFFECTS OF SPEND ABLE INCOME?SINCREASE ON PARTICIPATION OF THE SPORTIVE RECREATION( STANBUL SAMPLE)Kenan KılıçABSTRACTToday?s societies, people cannot find enough spare time because of theincrement of the working hours. But people may or should color their spare times bysecretive activities in order to have healthy, exciting, peaceful and no monotonous life.In this circumstances, sports is the most preferable model to fill in the spare times.From the beginning of the ancient time, sports is the combining material of thesocieties and races as giving peace, health and confidence of oneself.In this project, It was aimed to search of why people are away from sports orclose to sports in spite of all positive effects of it. The target is to set recommendationsfor reconstruction of the sports organization and orientation of the people for sportsactivities.Our survey project has been done for the people who live in different regionsand have different jobs. In the first part of our research; recreation and spare timeconcepts, in the second part; description of sports, history of sports, statistics, in thethird part; survey and its results have been presented.Model group of this research is stanbul city centre and urban people of it wholive in towns. Sample group contains 462 females and 608 males, total 1067 people.Likert type, 26 question survey has been applied to stanbul people to define theeffects of how increments in socio-economical factors and increments in incomeseffects the contribution and attendance of sport activities. At the end of the survey,percentage and frequency distribution have been shown. In some questions, forstatistical acceptance of Ki-Square analyze, p>0.05 significance has been defined. Toevaluate the results, SPSS 11.5 statistical computer program has been used.
