Abstract (EN)

The aspect ratio in the moving image differs according to the purpose in the devices where the image is recorded, in the recorded image, in the content produced from these images, in the platforms on which these contents are broadcasted and in the screen and projection devices that display these platforms, and has changed throughout history. Sometimes it was changed in order to increase the number of customers during the competition between different lanes, sometimes as a design element in the artistic structure of the work, and sometimes when producing a different copy of a work to be published on another platform outside its own platform. In this study, the mismatch problem that arises when broadcasting from a different platform as the aspect ratio of a moving image source is discussed. The history of moving images has been examined from the perspective of aspect ratio from past to present and solutions developed for similar discrepancies in the past have been searched and integrated into the source of the problem by making necessary investigations.
