Abstract (EN)
The Alphabeth Revolution is one of the most important socio-cultural revolutions made by Atatürk. The negative effects of the Arabic alphabeth was first discussed in the period of `administrative reforms?. In the years of constitutional monarchy as in the years of administrative reforms, the Arabic alphabeth was a matter of discussion again. But this time it was more about reforming the Arabic alphabeth. During the discussions in those years the problem of using the Arabic alphabeth increased and it came to a solution with the acception of the Latin alphabeth in the leadership of Atatürk.In this research history and in its sub branch `history of revolution? is examining the approach to the alphabeth of revolution and its application in public affairs with the perspective of history of comunication. In the leadership of Atatürk the impact of the public affairs in achieving succes in the alphabeth revolution can not be denied. Atatürk personally arranged journeys to Anatolia, addressed the public, gave speeches and held meetings, he even taught himself to easy the adoptation of the revolution. We can see Atatürk?s great role in the application of the puplic affairs to make this socio¬¬-cultural change an internal issue. The papers of the period like Hakimiyeti-Milliye, Cumhuriyet, İkdam, Vakit, and Akşam have been scanned to see how the issue was handled.
