Through the years 2007-2009 found Hasankeyf excavations lighting glazed ceramic vessels and storage function

Hasankeyf is one of the major trading cities in Middle Ages. As a result of recent excavations of the medieval Islamic ceramics on the important work is done. However, there is no study of medieval storage containers and lighting. This idea of eliminating "Through the years 2007-2009 Hasankeyf Excavation Storage and Lighting Glazed Ceramic Vessels" by heading towards the title of this work, first started to work the land and warehouse. Ceramics, drawing, created the catalog layout, then the library was completed. Comparison and evaluation of the part 177 from the catalog by doing, trying to identify locations of the Turkish Islamic art of ceramics.In this study, pottery vessels are divided into groups according to their functions. Examples of an oil lamp is divided into 2 groups. 24 examples have foots but 18 oil lamps have no foot. Single-color glaze technique used in oil lamps. Green, turquoise, purple glazed decorative oil lamps are seen.Storage containers such as cubes, jurs, ewers, jars, potteries are described in 4 separate sections. These containers are used in daily life. One color glaze, underglaze painting, paint splashes, are scraping techniques. Green, transparent, white, turquoise, cobalt blue and purple are the use of glaze. Jur and jars are decorated with vegetable, text, geometric ornamentation types.Storage containers and oil lamps, those who work in the other study centers in the Middle Ages, thanks to the typology to provide the opportunity to compare and evaluate.Key Words:1.
