Developing an interface to entegrate SPSS package program with hospital central laboratory system database in order to calcute necessary statistics

ABSTRACT In this study, we tried to explain the methods to transform specific data sets collected over Akdeniz University Medical Faculty Hospital Central Laboratory Database into a type which fits to SPSS package program usage and describe the Hospital Information System components that are used to develope this module. This interface module was developed to compute the statistics of collected data sets by using SPSS OLE otomation. SPSS OLE otomation components are also described in this study.
