Abstract (EN)

The rapidly changing and renewed needs and services of the health sector require the renewal of all branches of the sector. Hospital buildings that belong to the complex functional building group must meet changes in the health system, technological and scientific developments, organizational changes, capacity increase, and renewal of standards. Re-architectural restructuring also brings high costs. In order to reduce these costs and respond to the changes quickly as expected, the understanding of flexibility in architecture has become an imperative in today's conditions. The important point that should not be forgotten in flexible designs is to consider and evaluate how the functions will develop. The second important point is that the correct determination and correct juxtaposition of variables and fixed areas in forms that have not yet been defined. Modifying is a much more convenient solution than demolishing and rebuilding that building. Because in today's buildings, functional aging goes before structural aging. As stated in the annual investment plans of the Ministry of Health, it is to contribute to a predictive design over the square meters of the hospital building plans by developing a forecast method based on the population, number of beds and years in the new hospital buildings. Thanks to the formulation system found by examining existing buildings, instead of designing by leaving a reserve area in future health buildings; by calculating the coefficients of increase in the population and the number of beds over the years, the distribution percentages within the hospital on the basis of departments, as well as the cumulative construction area of the hospital in the desired year can be determined. Instead of designing methods for estimating the unknown, precise calculations can be made that show the projected increase amounts over years.
