Information systems in hospitals: A model for the Libyan health industry

Abstract (EN)

Health care plays an important role in the health sector. It is important to improve these services for the citizens with a cost within reach of every individual, and in a short time as well. Besides, these services should be available throughout the country. For this, the objective of this research is to examine the information system in hospitals so that we can find a model system of health care services in Libya. Research method: The data was collected from hospitals and clinics through the application of a questionnaire to the employees and the medical staff. Then these results were analyzed in order to create a model system for Libya health services. Result: The results showed that the health sector in Turkey and the information system that includes education and training of medical staff, is considered to be more successful than that in Libya. And therefore, it has put the basic steps and solutions to create an administrative structure of information system in hospitals.
