Abstract (EN)
During the last half century, when competition became more and more intense, firms have developed a series of quality control methods and procedures with an aim to determine and respond to the demands and needs of customers in a timely manner. Two of the developed methods within this scope are Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Taguchi Method. FMEA is an analysis tool, which aims to determine the source of error that occurs within the firm before it is conveyed to the customer. Taguchi Method, on the other hand, is an approach that aims to resolve the determined source of error using the experimental design method. In this study, the aim has been to determine the factors that affect customer engagement in an Italian firm, which produces gear units, using FMEA and minimize the effects of these factors by Taguchi Method.
