Abstract (EN)

The mining industry has many dangers and risks due to its profession. In cases where risks cannot be managed, many accidents and loss of life occur. According to the literature review, most of the mining accidents; It is caused by factors such as inadequate occupational health and safety measures, efforts by employers to reduce costs, production pressure on employees, insufficient training for employees, insufficient personal protective equipment, and malfunctions in early warning systems. The effects of mining accidents that occur as a result of such reasons are also great. It is known that it will be possible to successfully manage this process with an effective risk management before mining accidents occur. According to the literature review, the lack of application studies for risk assessment in the mining sector with the method of error type and effects analysis in mines constitutes the motivation of the study. It is aimed to take measures according to the number of risk priorities, which will be listed according to risk factors, and to develop solutions for risks. At the first stage, risks were determined by Failure Mode and Effects Analsis. In the second stage, the risks were sorted and criteria weighted using the AHP method. The most important criterion has been determined as the lack of qualified personnel and experts in the mines. Then, in order to eliminate the risks in question, solution proposals were determined as an alternative to the study and ranked with the TOPSIS method. Qualification of the personnel working in this direction has been determined as the alternative with the highest impact in eliminating the risks.
