Abstract (EN)

Transhumanceis a way of life, which is identified with Turks based on animal husbandry, continued for many years after making Anatolia homeland,. In the historical process, this lifestyle has created its own unique culture at the centre. Hatay-Antep-Maraş-Kayseri-Adana regions have been used as barracks lifestyles throughout the history. Although this lifestyle does not preserve its vitality as in the past, it continues to live in the region. This study focuses on Yoruks and Turkmens who have lived in the past in the Hatay region. In this study, the life style of the nomads, the last representative of the nomadic Turkish culture of thousands of years, their contribution to our cultural life, and their roles in Turkish history for thousands of years are discussed. Although some groups in Turkish society settled down, established cities and lived by agriculture, the way of life identified with Turks and Turkish culture has been nomadism and nomadism. Again, in our study, the origin of the Yoruks and the explanation of the Yörük-Turkmen concepts and the Yörük family tree were mentioned. In Kırıkhan Nomads, the transitional periods of birth, marriage and death, as well as their functions and practices, how religious-national holidays and ceremonies are performed and how the practices are were mentioned. In the nomads, information about animal husbandry is given; Economic activities related to sheep and sheep and terms related to sheep, names of goats, goats and milk and meat products made from animals are mentioned. Animal diseases and treatment methods are mentioned. Within the framework of the sociocultural structure, issues about cultural structure, solidarity, education, technological tools, nomadism and migration and lifestyle in Yoruks were mentioned. Along with folk culture and related professions, information was given about the medicinal plants used in folk medicine and folk medicine and their applications and hair tents and their applications were mentioned. Nicknames and their pure Turkish words and their meanings are mentioned in nomads. Children's games, village theater games and dressing are mentioned in nomads. Examples of anonymous and individual folk narratives in nomads are given by giving information about proverbs, idioms, laments, tales, stories, poems, and anecdotal narratives. With this study, it was aimed to identify the nomadic folk culture in the Kırıkhan region, to reveal the change and transformation in the culture in question in the historical process, to record the folklore products created by nomads and to contribute to similar studies.
