Abstract (EN)
In this study, the subject of security of network environments is studied through the example of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University. Security is a sensitive issue in many respects, and it is a subject that needs to be worked on meticulously. University network environments can be secured both technically and together with security policies similar to other network environments. However, this process shall not be seen as a situation that can be resolved at one time, it should be handled in a cyclically sustainable method with continuous surveillance and review. In the research part of the study, brute force attacks were coordinated by various methods in a laboratory established in Hatay Mustafa Kemal University and various deficiencies of the network structure were determined. After determining these deficits, solution suggestions are provided in the conclusion section of the thesis.
