Abstract (EN)
This thesis aims to reveal which political and political events took place according to historical chronology during the period until Hatay's accession to the homeland, and how it has affected the relations between Turkey and Syria until today. The Hatay Problem was the subject that Atatürk made an effort to conclude in the last days of his health. After the occupation of Hatay by the French, Turkey's confrontation with Syria and France, France's II. Due to the fact that he did not want his interests in the Middle East to be harmed in the world environment leading to World War II, he changed dimensions, and after Hatay declared its independence, it decided to join Turkey with a second referendum. Thus, the Hatay Problem was actually solved. However, the regional effects created by the Hatay Problem have continued until today. This thesis study deals with the effects of the Hatay Problem on today's international relations, on the assumption that "Historical problems in the Middle East always preserve their vitality and influence, and all current problems in the region are fed by these old problems". In this direction, printed books, articles on the internet and news were evaluated. The study is important because of the topicality of the subject and the extent of its reflections in the public opinion.
