Abstract (EN)

Al-Faṣl li'l-waṣl al-mudrağ fi'n-naql, the main source of the thesis, is used extensively about the mudrağ ḥadīṯ, a type of weak ḥadīṯ, in classical work of ḥadīṯ methodolgy. It can be said that Ḫaṭīb al-Baġdādī's (463/1071) al-Faṣl li'l-waṣl is a masterpiece which was praised in the works that dealt with mudrağ after the fifth Islamic century. In the thesis, transmissions in this work are analysed comparatively with those in al-Kutub al-Tis'a in order to make a contribution to the field. Thesis consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the "Introduction", thesis' subject, aim, framework, method and sources are discussed. In addition, the terms of idrāğ and mudrağ are explained. In the first chapter, mudrağ al-matn and mudrağ al-isnād are analysed with the examples under the heading of the classification of mudrāğ ḥadīṯ. In this context, the causes and ways to identify of idrāğ are also addressed using examples, and Islamic scholars' judgements about idrāğ are quoted. Lastly, a short biography of Ḫaṭīb also given. In the second chapter, the main chapter of the thesis, the question of whether or not the transmissions in al-Faṣl li'l-waṣl are also present in al-Kutub al-Tis'a is sought to be answered. . Information about the transmitters of these traditions also given based on biographical literature. In this chapter, the opinions of ḥadīṯ commentators also cited about the aḥadīṯ in question.
