Abstract (EN)
In recent academic history research, it is seen that the small-scale and ordinary are more subjects. The interaction with other scientific disciplines such as psychology, sociology and philosophy has an important effect on the emergence of this situation. In this respect, it is observed that ordinary people and events are investigated in many recent historical studies, and at the same time, it is noteworthy that memoirs are among the more frequently used sources in historical research. Because history through memoirs; It can be examined by reducing it to the rhythm, normality and rationality of everyday life. On the other hand, in terms of Turkish history, the Single-Party Era might often be examined in isolation from other periods of history, as it developed under the leadership of a great leader such as Atatürk. Within the framework of this background, in this thesis, it is aimed to examine the political life of the Single-Party Era through the eyes of memoirs. For this reason, the main method used in the research was aimed at understanding the perspectives of the actors (memoirists) on major events, and it was aimed to discover new perspectives based on these perspectives through comparisons and analyzes. As a result, at the point reached, the Single Party period; Although it has been noticed once again that it is an undeniable transformation phase in terms of the history of Turkey, it can be said that the period in question can be explained with a predictable and rational perspective in terms of the development of political/social events, and that it follows a course in accordance with the rational flow of life. In this respect, it is seen that the Single-Party era cannot be separated from the last period of imperial history and the Multi-Party period, and that it provides a chain of continuity between these two. From a broader and philosophical point of view, it can be stated that the social/political process has an independent self, and this can be examined separately from the personalities of the great or ordinary people who lived during the period in question.
