The mediating role of the meaning life in the relation between memorable tourism experience and subjective well-being

It is thought that the unique geography of the Cappadocia region and the various local activities will make it possible for individuals visiting the region to have a memorable tourism experience, unlike their previous experiences. In this respect, firstly, the mediating role of the meaning life in the memorable tourism experience and subjective well-being is tried to be determined. In the study, quantitative research method was adopted and data were collected on a voluntary basis at various points in the Cappadocia region. A questionnaire including the Memorable Tourism Experience Scale (MTES), Positive Negative Emotion Scale (PANAS), Life Satisfaction Scale (SWLS) and Life Meaning Scale (MIL) was prepared and 283 people were reached. In the research findings, it is concluded that the emotions of memorable tourism experience directly affect one's affective aspect while indirectly affecting their cognitive aspect known as life satisfaction. Furthermore, a significant relationships was found between positive affect and refreshment; meaningful, novelty and meaning in life dimensions; involvement, positive affect and life satisfaction. It is possible to say that the study contributed to the national and international literature that is associated with positive psychology concepts. In addition, it is important to understand the memories of remembered tourism experiences of individuals who need to be developed in the literature and to examine the relationship between remembered experiences and psychological factors specific to the individual. Considering the subject sectorally, it is thought that tourism providers should have sustainable competitiveness. At this point, it is thought that the illumination of the factors that will affect the subjective well-being of individuals and make their experiences memorable will also contribute to the sectoral practices.
