A GENETIC ALGORITHM APPLICATION FOR BEYOND VISIONENGAGEMENT IN AIR OPERATION(M.Sc. Thesis)Hamit TOKGÖZGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYJanuary 2007ABSTRACTIn this study, alternative courses-of-actions for beyond-vision engagement, which is essential in air operations and require fighter pilots to use theircapabilities at the maximum level, are produced with genetic algorithm.Information of tactical picture of the operation area created by processing datagathered from early warning agents has been evaluated by genetic algorithm.Operation area has been simulated in two dimensional with developedapplication and important factors such as aspect angle, speed, fire missiledecision and distance from target for selection of target have been evaluatedwith genetic algorithm. Simulation results show that genetic algorithm issuccessful of dynamic applications with many parameters.Science Code : 902.1.056Key Words : Network Centric Warfare, Genetic Algorithm, OptimizationTechniques, Beyond Vision EngagementPage Number : 112Advisor : Assoc.
