Abstract (EN)
Within the content of theses, the existing air pollution situation of Kastamonucity center has been searched. At first, identification of air pollution has beenmade, also sources and effects of air pollutants have been identified in general.Then existing air pollution in Kastamonu city has been put forwarded. To dothis, results of daily air pollution measurements made by Kastamonu ProvincialDirectorate of Health- Public Health Laboratory have been taken intoconsideration. Also meteorolgical datas( temperature, wind, humidity) takenfrom Directorate of Meteorology has been used. Future projections were madefor the year 2020 in relation with traffic volumes and population and as aconclusion measures have been suggested for the prevention of air pollution.Key Words : Kastamonu, Air Pollution, Pollutants, SO2, PM
