Abstract (EN)
Studies on the use of heat treatment polymers in different concentrations and the changes in the strength and microstructure properties of the material continue. In this study; It is aimed to obtain minimum distortion and high mechanical properties in the quench hardening of Al alloys which are prepared with Aquatensied E Series heat treatment polymers of 5%, 10% and 15% in water cooling medium and used in aerospace industry in cooling medium. In this study, AA2024, AA6082 and AA7075 alloys commonly used in aerospace industry were heated gradually from room temperature to 480 ºC and solution treated process was applied to solution for 60 minutes in this temperature rate. Subsequently, artificial aging process was applied for materials which were in cooling process for 6 hours at 120 ºC. In order to determine the effect of quenching process on materials after aging process; mechanical properties were tried to be determined by tensile, bending and notch impact tests. Microstructure examinations were carried out on the samples from the broken surface of the notch impact test samples and the distortion amounts in the materials were measured. After quenching of the cooling medium, the decomposition rate of the heat treatment polymer was determined. In general, the best tensile strength values were obtained in solutions where the heat treatment polymer was 10%. The tensile strength values of AA7075 and AA6082 alloys were close to those of the water cooling environment and higher tensile strength values of AA2024 alloyed heat treatment polymers were observed. The AA6082 alloy, on the other hand, provided more elongation and strength as the polymer mixture ratio increased, and obtained the most appropriate and ideal results in 10% polymer mixture.
